Overview
ContactSift is an iPhone app for reviewing contacts as individual cards, choosing which contacts to keep, and preparing a list for deletion. ContactSift has no server infrastructure, user account, advertising, analytics, or tracking system.
Contacts access
ContactSift accesses Apple Contacts only after you grant permission. Contact access is used to display contacts as cards and, after your explicit confirmation, delete the records you selected.
- Contact names, phone numbers, and photos are processed on your device.
- These details are not uploaded or sent to a ContactSift server.
- You can change Contacts permission in iOS Settings.
Review session data
To let an unfinished review continue after the app is reopened, ContactSift stores a small review-session record on your device. This record contains contact identifiers, their order, and your keep-or-delete decisions. It does not store contact names, phone numbers, or photos.
Contact deletion
Swiping left does not immediately delete a contact. It adds that contact to a deletion list. ContactSift asks you to review the list and provide explicit confirmation before deleting selected records through Apple Contacts. A confirmed deletion may not be reversible.
Purchases
The ContactSift Lifetime purchase and purchase restoration are managed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. ContactSift does not receive or access your payment card or bank details. Apple’s own terms and privacy practices apply to App Store transactions.
Data retention and deletion
Review-session information remains locally on your device until it is reset, replaced by a new session, or removed with the app. You can delete ContactSift’s local app data by uninstalling the app. Deleting the app does not restore Contacts records that you previously confirmed for deletion.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when ContactSift’s behavior or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
